Question: OldCity has already become a familiar place for locals. Why did you decide to redesign the space, and how did the idea for the pavilions come about?
Answer by Pavel Vladimirovich Astapovich:
Last year, the OldCity shopping center turned 10 years old, and we wanted to celebrate this anniversary not just with words, but with tangible changes for the city and our visitors. We understood that the shopping center's space was limited, so we decided to expand within the existing land. This is how the idea for three separate pavilions on the Dubko Street side emerged—new locations that will attract tenants previously unavailable in OldCity, or even in Grodno.
Question: Let's talk about the first pavilion. What will open there?
Answer by Pavel Vladimirovich Astapovich:
The first pavilion, approximately 104 square meters, will house a new project for the city: the Tajik cuisine "Isfara." This will feature traditional cuisine cooked in a tandoor oven. Visitors will be able to sample pilaf, manti, samsa, lagman, fresh pastries, and other Tajik dishes. We are confident that this project will be an exciting culinary discovery for city residents.
Question: The second pavilion will have two tenants. Who will they be?
Answer by Pavel Vladimirovich Astapovich:
Yes, the second pavilion will feature two tenants specializing in pet products. Zoosfera, which will relocate from the interior of the shopping center, and DoctorVet, a new operator for OldCity. This proximity will expand the product range and make shopping as convenient as possible for pet owners. Visitors will be able to find everything they need for their pets in one place.
Question: The third pavilion looks to be the largest. What projects will be located there?
Answer by Pavel Vladimirovich Astapovich:
The third pavilion will house two new gastronomic projects. The Pan-Asian restaurant "Tom Mam" will open on the left. This is the first restaurant of this format not only in Grodno but also in the Republic of Belarus. This project is completely new and will be unique for OldCity visitors.
The space on the right will be occupied by the "Babushka Nene" kitchen project, the chain's third bistro-style establishment. The first location is successfully operating in the Triniti shopping center, and the second is in the city center under the name "Melnitsa." The third restaurant will build on this experience: with improved service and food quality, an expanded product range, a larger seating area, and an on-site coffee shop and pastry shop. We are confident that this location will become a new focal point for OldCity guests.
Question: When will city residents be able to experience the new pavilions?
Answer by Pavel Vladimirovich Astapovich:
We plan to complete preparations for the opening of the facilities in the near future. This process will take up to two months. After that, the premises will be handed over to the tenants for renovations. We expect the first openings to take place as early as July of this year. We will strive to complete the process ahead of schedule.
Question: In short, what will OldCity be like after the new pavilions open?
Answer by Pavel Vladimirovich Astapovich:
The new pavilions offer additional recreational opportunities and new culinary projects for the city. We are confident that this renovation will be a wonderful gift for Grodno residents and will make OldCity an even more comfortable and modern place to visit.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the Grodno city authorities for their assistance in implementing this project from the very beginning. The project was challenging, involving a large volume of documentation and procedural issues, as well as complex construction phases. With the support of the city authorities, we always found understanding, felt a willingness to collaborate on solutions, and experienced genuine support. This allowed us to implement the project and complete it within the regulatory deadline.
